ABOUT
Barricade Arts Ltd is a production company dedicated to creating and developing experimental, high quality performance-based art. Whilst we operate mainly in theatrical and musical media, we take pride in cultivating works that cross the boundaries between forms, presenting an original and organic final product. We place an emphasis on the use of sound technology and music in our productions, using innovative new techniques to enhance our stylised staging practices.
Since Barricade Arts was founded at Oxford University in 2015, we have developed over 10 different productions across a range of venues from the Oxford Playhouse to the Edinburgh Fringe. In the past year, we have turned our attention to educational theatre, forging a strong link with the the British Council School and establishing an annual tour to their site in Madrid. We plan to expand our educational work in the coming years, reaching more students in the UK and abroad, and helping to develop their knowledge and passion within the arts and beyond.
