THE FRONT LINE

When a young girl discovers what appears to be an old man collapsed at the back of her garden, she notices something strange: wings.
Difficult decisions must be made. Should she help the creature? Should she tell her friends and family?
‘Wings’ is a new devised piece for children aged 6-12, their families, and everyone else!
Based on David Almond’s ‘Skellig’ and Gabriel García Márquez’s ‘A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings’, Barricade Arts tell a new story exploring our attitudes towards the unusual, and the ways in which difference can be celebrated and feared.
The show uses an array of visual techniques to create a fun and vibrant piece of theatre that can be understood and appreciated by all.
